ImageResizerThese pages are no longer kept up to date as we're moving to afewbeers and want you to join us over there.
This is the simplest and fastest method of resizing pictures that I know of. Make pictures smaller for emailing or posting to the web. This will make the file size smaller and make the picture dimensions smaller. You won't see anything once you install this programme to start with as it creates an entry in your right click menu. All you have to do once installed is find the picture using Windows Explorer or My Documents and right click on it. You then left click on the option in the popup menu Resize Pictures. NB The Resize Pictures item might appear in a different order in your menu than it does in mine. ![]() You will get a pop up window that will give you options to chose from however if you click the Advanced button you will be given a few more options. The default is to save the new picture in the same folder (with either small, medium or large written after it) and to not overwrite the original file, that is, it creates a new file. It works with jpg, bmp, png and gif files (although I don't imagine you would need it for a gif) and maybe more. You can resize multiple pictures at once too. This is resize pictures for dummies. It is so easy and also a small download. The link at the top of this page will take you to microsoft's site with more info about this programme. To download it you need to go here microsoft's PowerToys and you can find a download link on the right hand side if you scroll down a fair way.
