If you've ever backed up files to CD then copied them back to a hard drive you will have discovered that they are now all Read Only and you can make no changes to them until you clear the Read Only attribute from the properties of each file.

CROA clears the Read Only Attribute from a chosen folder and it's subfolders and any files they contain. The option is available simply by right clicking on the folder you want to change and choosing Clear Read Only. Simple and easy - a must have program when many folders and files are transferred from CD to a hard drive.

You will need a zip program to open the download. If you don't have one, there are plenty of free ones available on the net. Click Here to be taken to a site with info and links about zip programs.

• Click the Download Here link and select Save from the options
• Save the zip file to your desktop
• Right click the zip file that is now on your desktop and choose Extract Here - this may vary depending on what zip program you are using
• Double click the setup.exe file and installation will be performed

You can delete the zip file and the .exe file once you have backed either one up
